Do Right by Yourself and Your Team: Get an Assistant
It might seem selfish but learning to delegate some of your responsibilities is the best thing for your players and team. If another parent is willing to take on some non-coaching duties, take them up on the offer!
This will free you up for important coaching tasks, like developing strategies and getting valuable feedback from players and their parents. Items to delegate include: all administrative tasks, drinks and food before and after games, travel schedules, etc.
Delegating these responsibilities will help you focus on your goal of instructing and coaching the players. A special bonus tip: If you have parents who always seem to offer their unsolicited 'feedback' to you, delegate a task to them so that they can have a role in the success of the team.
